Medco Labs Announces Formation of Consumer Products Division

CLEVELAND, OHIO - Medco Labs announced the formation of a Consumer Products division to complement its existing Coated Products division. Mark Fenton, President of Medco Labs, made the announcement. "We have seen recent strong interest in our transdermal patch and wet and dry coated wipe technologies which has led to the development of a line of consumer products under private label and brand names," said Fenton. "The logical progression of our business was to formally establish a Medco Consumer Products division to fully develop the market potential of these products and the technology."

Elizabeth “Bede” Littman, Marketing Director, will oversee Medco Consumer Products. "The market opportunity presented by transdermal patch technology and consumer wiping cloths is tremendous," said Littman. "We intend to explore private label, joint venture and proprietary branded product opportunities and believe that we have all of the resources required to provide manufacturers with line extensions of their existing branded products, and to do so with state-of-the-art transdermal technology.”

Medco Consumer Products functions as a product development and manufacturing unit and its primary focus is on using its coated materials technology for retail consumer products. Primary markets include: cosmetics, pain relief, wound care, skin care, cough and cold, personal hygiene, children’s healthcare, foot care, veterinary, household care and automotive care and cleaning. Most over-the-counter creams, ointments, drugs and liquids can be administered more safely and effectively using these new product forms.

Medco Labs is the parent company of Medco Coated Products and was founded in 1989 by Mr. Fenton. Medco Coated Products develops, manufactures and markets coated and adhesive products for industrial and medical applications.
